The World's 9 Rowdiest St. Patrick's Day Celebrations

Dress up in green and make your way to the most lively St. Paddy’s parties around the world

Every year in mid-March, the world joins the Irish in celebrating their roots and the death of their patron saint, Saint Patrick. In some parts of Ireland March 17 is seen as a holy day, but most people honor St. Patrick by celebrating his adopted homeland with plenty of Guinness, green beers, parades, Irish music, and rowdy bar crawls.

Unfortunately, due to bad weather in different parts of the world this year, some big events have been cancelled — like Auckland’s St. Patrick’s Festival Parade. However, not to worry: There is still plenty of partying to partake in across the globe, from St. Croix’s parade, to the week-long festivities in Edinburgh and late night dancing in the streets of Buenos Aires.

Whether you’re Irish or not, you should make a point to join in on the fun this weekend. Here’s a list of some the world’s rowdiest St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.
