Singapore Tourism Board Partners With The Daily Meal To Open A Hawker Pop-Up Stall In New York Courtesy Of 'The Box' Slideshow

The Box (also known as ilili Box) is usually a Lebanese food stand, but it will be transformed into a pop-up hawker stall to celebrate Singapore's 50th anniversary as a country. The pop-up is being brought to you in conjunction with The Daily Meal and the Singapore Tourism Board.

Katong Fries

Tossed with scallion, ginger, and soy sauce.

Kaya Toast

Pandan coconut jam on toasted brioche with butter.

Laksa Yong Tau Foo

Tofu stuffed with minced pork and vegetables in Laksa curry broth.

Milo Dinosaur

Iced rich chocolate drink topped with cocoa.

Ngoh Hiang Balls

Minced pork and shrimp balls wrapped in crispy beancurd skin served with sambal molasses sauce.

Peking Duck Shawarma

Duck with hoisin and scallions.

 

Popiah

Spring roll with braised jicama salad, egg ribbons, Chinese sausage, shrimp, bean sprouts and crushed peanuts.

Sambal Brussels Sprouts

Green mango, dried shrimp, crushed peanuts and sambal sauce.

Singaporean Falafel

Pickled papaya and green mango, cilantro, scallions and sambal tahini
