Twenty One Pilots
Ohio band Twenty One Pilots got the energy up early on Friday. They were only at the festival for one day, so trying to cram all the good food into one day had drummer Joshua Dun comparing the day to Thanksgiving. "This is going to be one of those days where I wish that I could just throw up and keep eating... Thanksgiving and Outside Lands Day," Dun told us. We'll take that as a good thing.
As far as the band's cooking skills go, lead singer Tyler Joseph says, "I don't trust myself to feel out what a dish needs, that's my problem." But when they move onto the new tour bus, they're hoping to stear away from the regular go-tos on the road, Taco Bell and Chipotle.

Beer Lands provided a wide variety of craft beer options to festival-goers, including the Outside Lands Saison from Sierra Nevada, brewed specifically for the occasion.

Comedian Dave Hill was all over Outside Lands this weekend. On Saturday, he took part in Competitive Erotic Fan Fiction in The Barbary (Outside Lands' comedy tent) and won, performed in the Bring the Rock show along with Nick Thune, Thao Nguyen, and others, and throughout the weekend he hosted the shows and Q&As in the Soundwave tent.
Hill was most looking forward to eating the sushi burrito he'd heard so much about at the festival. "It sounds delicious and disgusting to me. Leave it to these Americans to take a nice thing and make a big fat version of it... so it looks really good."
