In addition to booking dinner and a room, guests can reserve a poolside cabana where they can dine on a prix fixe menu from Gotham Steak. The menu includes Petrossian caviar, whole roasted rack of lamb, and whole roasted European Dover sole. Each cabana comes stocked with one or two bottles of Veuve Clicquot champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries, fresh fruit, and Evian Mist.

Hotel Matilda is hosting a "supper club" with three of Mexico’s top chefs at the hotel’s Moxi Restaurant. The trio, Enrique Olvera of Pujol, Guillermo González Beristáin of Pangea in Monterrey, and Diego Hernández Velasco Baquedano of Corazon de Tierra in Baja’s Guadalupe Valley, is collaborating on the surprise day-after Valentine’s Day dinner that is limited to 100 diners.

Paradise Point, a 44-acre private island on Mission Bay, is offering couples’ cooking classes on Feb. 10 and 17, along with waterfront dining and resort packages during February. Couples can sign up for chef Jessie Lee Williams’ Chemistry in the Kitchen Couples’ Cooking Class, held in the hotel restaurant Baleen’s bayfront exhibition kitchen. Class begins with a glass of champagne and ends with a meal and personalized recipe cards for the items the students learn to create. The Romance in Paradise package includes bungalow-style accommodations, a candlelit dinner at Baleen, and turndown service with a rose and French macarons.

At the largest spa in Southern California, at 38,000 square feet, the hourlong sweet tooth spa treatments include the Red Velvet Heavenly Meltdown (a massage with white buttercream-scented shea butter[cg1] ), Sweet Cream Salt Scrub (a rice bran oil and sea salt scrub with sweet cream scent), and a Caviar Facial (a treatment for the face, hands, and décolletage).
