Berghain — Berlin

Bordering the Freidrichshain and Kruezberg neighborhoods in Berlin, Berghain is a massive nightclub with a 1500 person capacity dancefloor. This club is highly exclusive with a limited guest list, and photography is not allowed. However, if you're able make it past the scrutiny of the door guy, you're rewarded with a 72 hour ticket into the club.

Toronto's largest nightclub is over 22,000 square feet and routinely features heavy-hitters of the electronic music scene such as Tiesto, Avicii, Deadmau5, Calvin Harris, Fatboy Slim, and Afro Jack.

Pacha — Ibiza

Pacha is a 3,000 capacity, multi-roomed nightclub on the party isle of Ibiza. The club is part of a franchise of nightclubs, the most renowned location being in Ibiza. Opened in 1973, it is the oldest of Ibiza's many nightclubs, and a destination for both earnest partiers and famous high-rollers alike.

BIGZ — Belgrade

BIGZ is a remarkable example of repurposed space. This club is located on the top floor of the former headquarters of the National Printing Institution of Yugoslavia. The building is mostly empty with the exception of this tucked away gem that features a sprawling view of the Belgrade cityscape in the background. 

Green Valley — Camboriu

Far away from the capital is the giant open-air nightclub Green Valley in Camboriu, Brazil. This 8,000 capacity venue, has been proclaimed by EDM legend Armin van Buuren as "definitely one of the best clubs in the world."

LIV — Miami

Measuring in at 30,000 square feet, LIV is an elaborately decorated staple of the party scene, and an homage to the opulence of Miami nightlife. LIV boasts on its Facebook page that the club is the "highest grossing club in the world not because it is big, but because people spend big." Located inside the Fontainbleau Hotel, you better wear your coolest party threads if you want to make muster; the competition to get in is steep. 

Corvintető — Budapest

The owners of Corvintető have transformed the roof top of this department store into one of the most popular nightclubs in Budapest. According to their website, the club features a wide variety of nightlife events from dance nights and indie rock shows, to poetry readings. 

Rich Baby — Shanghai

The name of this Shanghai club, Rich Baby, goes a long way in qualifying what kind of place it is. With brand name logos etched into the walls and massive chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, Rich Baby is where the young and newly minted go to party like there's no tomorrow. 

Zouk — Singapore

Named appropriately after the French-Creole word for "party," Zouk is one of Asia's largest nightclub venues. The original Zouk incorporated three large warehouse spaces built on the Singapore River, which have now been re-modeled into separate, but connected; nightclub spaces; each with a different theme. 

Cross Club — Prague

Far from the city center in the Holešovice neighborhood of Prague is Cross Club. Decorated from wall-to-wall with industrial-inspired sculptures, fixtures, and bric-a-brac, this underground nightclub would fit in perfectly on the set of a steampunk-inspired movie, or a camp at Burning Man.
