Foursquare Tips

  • You definitely should keep room for dessert at this French Restaurant. The profiteroles au chocolate will make you feel like you're in France.
  • In an area some believe lacks culture, Tournesol proves you dead-wrong with an authentic French atmosphere that rivals the Left Bank.
  • Throw rocks at the windows above and I'll come down and give you a hug.
  • Very fun and attractive staff that I've seen dancing in the restaurant late at night. Sit at the bar for dinner and they'll keep your wine glass full just out of habit.
  • The distinctively French brunches here feature croques madames and monsieurs and steak frites. After dining, check out the Manhattan skyline in Gantry State Park.
  • Escargot sauce is to die for. If pig ears are a special appetizer, GET THEM!!!
  • Mussels from Brussels are fresh!
  • Cute restaurant decor. But if you want a delicious French brunch, go across the street to Cafe Henri.
  • The chicken sandwich is worse than Applebee's!
  • The owner has a nasty attitude
  • My favorite restaurant in LIC. recommend the hanger steak, the mussels, salads, and the escargots. Service is friendly and super welcoming. The Sancerre is a great wine at a terrific price.
  • Wonderful for brunch or dinner!
  • The steak was overdone & bland. The salad was nothing to write home about. The service was incredibly slow. I don't know how this place stays in business because everything about it was bad.
  • On a weekend night definitely get a reservation so you wait less than a walk-in! Definitely try the appetizers and dessert. Big portions though!
  • Cute, inexpensive French bistro serving authentic French cuisine. Dishes to try: Reblochon tartiflette, cassoulet (special) and Ile flottante.
  • A sadly mediocre meal. Tasteless papiotte of hake. So spice, no flavor. Really? Is this establishment resting on its early LIC laurels? Was there a change in ownership? Major slippage!
  • Amex only.
  • Good food. Slooooow service. Onion soup and steak frittes are a must
  • Romantic little spot in LIC. Delicious French fare. Loved it.
  • Fantastic French food that won't stretch your wallet...
