'Top Chef' Alum Angelo Sosa to Cook with Fellow Alum at Sbraga Restaurant
Top Chef Kevin Sbraga will host Sosa at his Philadelphia restaurant to kick-off his new cookbook
Friday the 13th this month will be anything but unlucky — at least for the diners at Sbraga in Philadelphia. This Friday, chef Angelo Sosa, former contestant on Top Chef, will join season seven’s winner and restaurant owner Kevin Sbraga as an exclusive guest chef to celebrate the launch of his new cookbook, Flavor Exposed.
Sbraga is a modern American restaurant that serves innovative seasonal dishes with a focus on unique flavor combinations. Sosa has created a menu exclusive to this event that goes hand in hand with Sbraga’s vision.
Sosa’s menu features recipes included in his cookbook, such as dishes like grilled duck breast with honey pepper glaze and green papaya salad with candied tamarind vinaigrette.
Flavor Exposed offers readers 100 recipes from around the globe that focus on interesting flavor combinations. Sosa’s nine core flavors — sweet, salty, smoky, bitter, sour, umami, spicy, earthy, and nutty — are used to create innovative, accessible recipes for those looking for a mind blowing culinary experience.
Diners who want a taste of chef Sosa’s dishes must make a reservation for a time between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. and can expect a copy of Flavor Exposed with their $100 per person dinner fare. For more information click here.
