Best Restaurants In Toronto

Everybody loves a great restaurant that fills them up with a satisfying meal that you can't stop talking about with your friends. As Mahatma Gandhi once said "To a man with an empty stomach, food is god." So let's not waste any more time and get right to the good stuff. Dig in!

1.   Black Hoof Located @  928 Dundas St W  Toronto, ON M6J 1W3

Here is a restaurant that would scare any vegetarian right out! Meat, meat, and more meat! This isn't just your typical restaurant though. The flavours here will surely excite your senses. It may even convert your vegetarian friend. A classic dish that is talked about by all is the Spicy Horse Tartare. If you have had other tartare dishes they usually have an acidic taste that can be overpowering. This is not the case for this dish. The meat is fresh, tender, and melts in your mouth. Doesn't that sound good? Well just as a heads up they have strange hours so you may want to plan accordingly.

2. Fabarnak Restaurant & Catering Located @ 519 Church Street Toronto, ON M4Y 2C9

Here is a place that is hard to find a place to sit without a reservation. This place is cozy and well suited for a cold day and a nice brunch with family or friends. A great suggestion for newcomers is to try their Square Peg. It has the best value! It includes 4 different types of dishes. You can go with the small servings which will go for $10 (which is enough for most people) or if you feel like you can chow down you can opt for the $15 larger portions. One clever aspect of this dish is that it always changes day to day! They update their twitter what their Square Peg of the day is so you know what to expect.

3. Fresco's Fish & Chips  Located @ 213 Augusta Ave Toronto, ON M5T 2L6

If you want something simple and you are already strolling around in Kensington Market you might want to stop by Fresco's Fish & Chips. If you love fish this is a place you will want to try! The owner is sometimes there and always greets you with a friendly smile and a suggestion for newcomers. The fish sandwich is the way to go though! They really do pride themselves of their fish and for good reason too! Their battered fish taste amazing and the battered fried crunch taste really makes it heavenly! Their fries are not to be missed either! They are big juicy fries (or chips rather!) that are not crunchy but just right to compliment your fish.

4. Scaramouche Restaurant Pasta Bar & Grill  Located @ 1 Benvenuto Pl Toronto, ON M4V 2L1

If you want a restaurant with a view this is the place to go! This is perfect to bring a date to as it will just steal your heart away as you dig into your scrumptious food. You have choices for your first course and second course meals. As well it is worth noting this place is on the mid to high price range. However you get what you pay for! The Yellowfin Tuna was simply amazing that had flavor bursting in every bite. I am a huge fan of a great desert as it can give a great ending to a great meal. I would recommend the Valhrona Araguani Chocolate Mousse dessert as it will surely satisfy your sweet tooth.

5.  Yours Truly Located @ 229 Ossington Ave Toronto, ON M6J 2Z9

Last but not least Yours Truly sets the bar high for any other restaurant in town. If you have those friends or family members who tend to be picky eaters this may be a place to satisfy their needs! You can get away with not making a reservation on particular nights which is great if you happen to be on Ossington Ave. strolling down. The menu's here are easy and simple to read. It's split for vegetarians and meat eaters, like I said something for everyone! To be honest it is hard to pick that one meal that will beat the rest because they are top notch on every dish. It's one of those restaurants you would come back 3 or 4 times just to try everything out. The lobster wrap looks as good as it taste. The smell of it makes your mouth salivate as you take your first crunchy bite and realize how exciting the taste is that you forget to swallow the first bite! This is a place worth sharing with your family and friends over a great meal in downtown Toronto.
