In Support Of Organic Farming

Having worked as a professional organic chef for 5 years, I want to comment on the article that was published and publicized widely on organic foods. Even iff you are interested in the taste factor only, then organic food is the way to go. Every time I entertain, I always have overwhelming praise for the foods that I serve and my approach is usually a simple menu using the best quality ingredients. However, the health factor was not stressed if considering cancers in general, and it's highly recommended that breast cancer survivors eat organically. This is a documented fact. Even Dr. Oz recommends that the "dirty dozen" be avoided if you can't afford to buy all organic foods and to buy free range meat and poultry.  I'd like to add that when I had my busness as an orgnaic chef, I had may cancer survivors as client's. I also had a "spa menu" and it's been mentioned that when you eliminate the additives, preservatives, and pesticides from the diet, weight is easier to lose since the body had less work to do in processing these unnecessary chemicals. Some of my client's had children with autism, adhd, add, and two with luekemia. All of my client's, without exception, felt better, lost weight more easily, found that their children's reactions lessened, and it was a healing experience. Supporting organic farmers and the work that they do, is very important. It helps us with less pesticide, fungicide, herbicide, and insecticide exposures and the earth with less "cides" in our soil, wells, and waterways. Eating free range meats and poultry, also insures that animals are treated numanely. Ever watch "Food, Inc."? That is if you can stand to watch it for very long. It's sheer animal cruelty!! Living consciously is so important and for the most part, we are becoming a "ME" society.  You can't live for yourself alone. It's a chain reaction when compassion for every living thing is considered. I have ventered into eco interior design and find that how we live in our homes and offices is as equally important as orgnanic eating.
