These nachos are quick and dirty and the subject of a long-running nacho-eating contest at Worship Surf Bar, located in Atlantic City, N.J. The contestant must eat the entire nacho platter during any live televised NFL game in Surf Bar from the end of second quarter until the beginning of third quarter. The contestant may not have any help eating the platter. If the contestant finishes the entire platter, they win free tickets to the House of Blues show of their choice and the nachos are free. If the contestant fails to complete the nachos within the stated time period, they must pay the $30 for the nachos.
- 32 ounces tortilla chips
- 6 ounces pico de gallo
- 4 ounces sliced jalapeños
- 6 ounces nacho cheese sauce
- 4 ounces shredded Cheddar
- 2 ounces cilantro, chopped
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Layer half of the nacho chips in a large casserole dish. Add half of the pico de gallo, half of the jalapeños, and half of the cheese sauce. Add the remaining chips and repeat. Then add the shredded Cheddar and cilantro. Place in the oven for 12 minutes and serve.
