Subway Releases 'Fiery Footlongs' For Latest "Hunger Games"

Subway has been looking hot lately—literally.

The chain sandwich shop has released a line of Fiery Footlongs in honor of the release of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, according to Restaurant News.

The collection includes new sriracha melts, as well as Buffalo chicken and turkey jalapeño melts. Sriracha is a spicy paste typically used in Thai or Vietnamese cuisine made with red chili peppers and garlic. The sauce was tested earlier this year at Subway and is now being offered nationally.

The sriracha melts are offered with either chicken or steak, pepper jack cheese and the creamy, spicy chili sauce. These sandwiches come at an ironic time, as the main Sriracha factory in Irwindale, Calif. almost shut down because of a lawsuit.

Sriracha sauce can be added to any sandwich, including breakfast sandwiches (if you're feeling adventurous). But, the sriracha melts will only be available for a limited time.

Even the advertisement for the sandwich seems to be just a bold and punchy as the sandwiches, with a defiant librarian enjoying the sandwich with a white tiger.
