Starbucks Japan Debuting Espresso-Lemon Lattes

Starbucks Japan, which recently introduced a limited-run "Tea Cream Frappuccino," will debut a new "Creamy Vanilla Latte with Lemony Swirl," on Wednesday, March 19th.

According to a partner at Starbucks reporting from Japan on Reddit, the new drink is essentially a Vanilla Frappuccino with lemon sauce. According to Grub Street, the hot version includes espresso, vanilla sauce, and steamed milk; and is topped with lemon peel, lemon-flavored white chocolate, and lemon syrup.

The item will be available at Starbucks locations across Japan from March 19th until April 15th, and is probably great if you love lemon-flavored things. So far, the lemon latte has more than 30 thousand likes on Starbucks Japan's Facebook, and lots of effusive comments.

In February, Starbucks Japan also introduced a line of Sakura tea-infused beverages including a "Sakura Chocolate Latte," just a few weeks in advance of Japan's Cherry Blossom Festival, which is also celebrated throughout the world.
