Starbucks Debuts Vanilla Macchiato And New Sandwiches

It's finally here! Starbucks macchiato fans rejoice, for the Vanilla Macchiato has officially been added to the Starbucks permanent menu, joining the sweet ranks of the Caramel Macchiato and Hazelnut Macchiato, which were included onthe menu this past spring (the first major update for the Starbucks drink menu in 16 years).

Here's a description of the new drink from Starbucks: "the Vanilla Macchiato features steamed milk... perfectly balanced espresso, and is topped with a drizzle made with a mix of brown sugar, butter, Madagascar Bourbon vanilla and slight hints of salt."

"Our baristas love to make the Starbucks Macchiato for customers," said Cliff Burrows, Starbucks group president. "Pulling the perfect espresso shot, steaming milk into thick, velvety foam and finishing it off with pride ensures that each and every beverage reflects our passion, care, and artistry."

Wash down this concoction with 4 new Starbucks breakfast sandwiches from La Boulange, also premiering today: the slow-roasted ham and Swiss cheese, vegetable and fontiago cheese, egg and cheddar, and the reduced-fat turkey bacon sandwiches.
