Try adding a little bacon to your next s'more.

The Daily Meal's editors, contributors, and readers dig into some pretty great restaurants, festivals, and meals. There's not always enough time to give a full review of a restaurant or describe in depth why a place, its food, and the people who prepare it are noteworthy, so Snackshot of the Day does what photographs do best, rely on the image to do most of the talking.

Today's Snackshot is of a s'more. This classic dessert is a reminder of childhood summers. It inspired the classic line from The Sandlot, "You're killin' me Smalls!" With the weather cooling down, now is a good time to host a campfire party in your backyard. A must: graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate. We all know they're best when you let the marshmallow burn a little bit before making the s'more.
