Foursquare Tips

  • Go on Sunday to get a big Flintstone rack of ribs
  • Im not fond on sausage or ribs, but The Salt Lick changed my mind. This place is so damn yummy!
  • The ribs are the best
  • Go with the brisket potato salad and coleslaw. Finish with pecan pie and ice cream - it's to die for.
  • Great food, good service! Two normal size adults can split a Bbq plate for lunch. Family style service available for Texas sized appetites.
  • The ribs are off the chizain!
  • Get the spicy BBQ sauce ... It's tangy and delicious
  • Bessst (blackberry) pie in the universe.
  • Ask for burnt ends: it's the glorious "bark" of the brisket, the apex of flavor due to the Maillard Reaction - typically crunchy with bits of moist brisket or fat cap.
  • They have other sides not on the menu! Ask about them. Potato wedges, fries and sweet potato fries.
  • Stick to the meat if doing Family Style. Everything else is filler.
  • I beseech you: please do not ruin your delicious meal by ordering this pseudo-pecan pie
  • THE place to take visiting family and friends. Great bar, fantastic ribs, and all-you-can-eat family style bbq feast! Cannot be held responsible for sticky fingers...
  • The brisket and turkey was great, so was the tater salad. But I'm more of a Hard 8 kind of girl. Happy we tried Salt Lick, but won't miss it when we go back to Dallas
  • Three words: brisket brisket brisket.
  • The brisket and ribs are worth every penny, best I've had anywhere!
  • I just tried writing a review but it was way too long to add, that's how dumbly amazing this place is.
  • I hate their menu.. Rudy's has much better offering. Salt Lick is overrated.
  • The brisket, ribs, and sausage plate is Delish.
  • Really? I just like the sauce. Brisket was dry and the ribs and sausage were ho-hum. I prefer Coopers in Llano.
