Royal Caribbean International Offers New Holiday Menu

How about spending Christmas aboard a cruise ship, sailing the warm waters of the Caribbean or some other exotic location? If this sounds tempting, booking a last-minute cruise on a Royal Caribbean International ship might be an option. The cruise line offers both four- and seven-day cruises, the majority of which depart from Florida and sail to the Caribbean. Holiday cruises are also being offered from ports in New York City, Baltimore, Galveston, Texas, and New Orleans, and some of the more exotic and faraway destinations include Singapore, Brazil, and Spain.

For its holiday cruises, Royal Caribbean International has designed a new holiday menu, including classic Christmas dishes such as glazed ham and panettone. The new menu consists of three courses, and diners can choose between two different appetizers, main courses, and desserts.

To start, guests can enjoy either a warm Brie cheese and pear  salad with port wine and wild berry reduction, or a walnut salad with mesclun greens and cider vinegar dressing.

For the main course, choose between maple-glazed ham with caramelized pineapple, snow peas, and baby carrots served with Dijon bliss potatoes, or a classic roasted Vermont turkey with apple and chestnut stuffing, cranberry compote, mashed potatoes, root vegetables, and natural gravy.

And, if there is room for dessert, the choice is between homemade bûche Noël with cherry drizzle or toasted panettone with vanilla ice cream, roasted nuts, raisins, and fig compote.

Royal Caribbean's holiday menu is served in the main dining room of the ships, and is included in the cruise fare.
