A New Asian-Inspired Gastropub, Domo Gastro, Arrives In The Twin Cities
Domo Gastro is a new arrival on the Minneapolis food scene that everyone needs to check out! At night, the colorful neon lights draw your attention, while the heavenly smells of ramen lure you in. You wouldn't expect this green-painted restaurant to be located in the relatively quiet area of St. Anthony's East, but not only is Domo Gastro a great addition to the collection of ramen places in Minneapolis, but it also has a late-night happy hour that will satisfy your comfort food cravings.
The menu offers traditional dishes such as Miso Ramen as well as some fun, innovated dishes like a Crispy Cauliflower and a Bang Bang Chicken Sandwich. One of my favorite dishes is the Kimchi Fries because who doesn't love fries smothered with tasty toppings? They start with a batch of freshly fried, medium-cut potatoes and add on caramelized kimchi. On top of that, they add a poached egg — break that yolk for a flavor combination out of this world. Forget about your waistline and indulge!
If you are looking for a drink pairing with your Kimchi Fries, Domo Gastro has a nice selection of special cocktails. I recommend the Boozy Thai Iced Tea, a spin on a traditional drink — it's sweet but packs a punch to keep the night going! In Minneapolis fashion, Domo Gastro also has a great selection of locally brewed craft beers. Just writing about this place gets me excited for my next visit!
