Foursquare Tips

  • Crispy fried chicken with ice cold beer cant be beat. This gastropub has exceptional versions of both: lots of locally brewed stuff on tap and twice-fried chicken with a spiced-honey drizzle.
  • Sure, its a path well traveled, but theres something to be said about a dependable bar where every beer you order will be interesting and any menu item will be completely delicious.
  • The burger and fried chicken were excellent. I really like the casked Uncle Teddy Bitter from Victory Brewing.
  • The burger rocks. It comes on challah bread. Thumbs up!
  • "Don't ask for a cocktail list here. This is a bar for beer people."
  • Add 'greens' to any sandwich for an extra kick! Their special sauce is ketchup/mayo/curry powder - aka heaven!
  • Bacon may be the best ever
  • Have the red wine braised prunes and a j.w. lees harvest ale together. It'll blow your mind.
  • The fried chicken is back, people.. And it's delicious! This is by far the best neighborhood spot in Philly. Great beer list, delicious food. I love the spicy broccoli. Miss the pork and spaetzel tho!
  • They got rid of the fried chicken, but it will still appear as a special from time to time. Order the lamb ragu sandwich instead.
  • That bartender Rocco is handsome and funny. Totally awesome dude who knows his beer.
  • Beer mimosas are da bizzer.
  • I agree with their self-proclaimed "small but pretty damn fantastic bottled beer list".
  • Come after 3pm on the weekends and GET THE FRIED CHICKEN. Honey sriracha glaze. That is all.
  • Service was extremely slow and place is obnoxiously noisy. Food was ok. Will try it again but will not be ordering the fried chicken or shrimp again.
  • Great food, great staff. Come here if you drink IPA
  • The fried chicken is really as good as everyone says it is. You'd be silly not to get it.
  • The only good thing to choose from is the fried chicken. Other than that their menu is blah...
  • Try the Hitachino Ginger Brew - Awesome
  • Guacamole and spicy jalapenos come together to make for a marvelous Tex-Mex twist on roasted pork.
