Foursquare Tips

  • The Tonkotsu-Shoyu Tare is a solid choice prepared with chashu, kikurage, menma, benishoga, negi, sesame seeds, nori, & a soft egg. Happy slurping!
  • The Uni Waffle is something else! Get this in your mouth now! Ikura, caviar, taramasalata, & accoutrements.
  • Great balance of sweet & spicy in the Dry-fried Wings made with fresh chilies, maltose, aged rice vinegar.
  • The Steamed Buns offer excellent flavor and texture, made with oxtail katsu, fennel kimchi, & roasted garlic puree
  • If youre feeling a little more adventurous and want to splurge, you need to order up the King Crab, which happens to have uni butter in it too.SighUni.
  • Their bathroom has a remote control bidet
  • Had my doubts about an Isabella ramen joint. No longer. Get the fluke if they have it.
  • I lived in NYC for 3 1/2 years, and I feel that DC sometimes doesn't know what good food is. There are cheap, hole in wall spots in NYC that have better pork buns and ramen.
  • At Yona in Washington D.C., the uni waffles come with a schmear of taramasalata (cured roe spread) and a dollop of caviar.
  • The chic, minimalist decor at Yona mixes rustic with modern through its pale wood dining room and white-tiled open kitchen all flooded with natural light.
  • Really good ramen, even if not done in the traditional Japanese style. Just be careful, the additional small bites can quickly add up to a very large bill. Definitely worth checking out.
  • Long way to go before equalling Toki Underground.
  • Way over priced, only veggie option is tasteless
