Foursquare Tips

  • Genuine Italian bakery with amazing Arancini, sfogliatelle and many more delicious things.
  • The greatest cannoli you can imagine is at Villabate Alba, which has been around for over 80 years and is located a block from where I used to live, says Suzanne Corso, author of Brooklyn Story.
  • They have chocolate custard eclairs
  • Authentic italian bread. Get their rum cake and cannoli's. The cookies at $6 a box, fantastic. Gelato = heaven in your mouth. Especially tiramisu. Lobster tails and S cookies, YES.
  • Honestly the best Italian bakery you can find. I'm from Pennsylvania and if I ever visit Brooklyn and don't come home with a Villabate box, my mother would slap me.
  • The pastries are the best; the gelato..not so much
  • Scrumpdidddlyumptious
  • Lines around the corner and down the street before any major holiday. I always hit this place up before visiting someone who's never been to Brooklyn
  • A delicious caffe' granita
  • The best bakery in the world. Connecticut wishes they had bakeries half as good.
  • wow got some cherry and strawberry and chocalate frosting cupcakes to go with the skinny dipping party at cooers pool lol
  • If you're buying on a holiday get here EARLY; otherwise be prepared to wait.
  • I have been buying Cannolis here since it was just "Alba", they are still the best I have ever had.
  • Imported Sicilian ingredients? Oh snap. Ask to try the cassateddi.

  • Check in on yelp for a free mini canoli!!!
  • The red velvet cake is amazing, a must!!
  • Yum
  • the cannolis are the best. imported ricotta cheese!!!
  • I have visited a couple times...so much to look at. But I stick to the mini cannoli or custard filled pies or tarts...delicate pastry and the cannoli are my favorite.
