Foursquare Tips

  • Go to Vesta. Order the Baby Jesus cake -- super sweet and moist, with unsweetened whipped cream to calm your taste buds. Die happy. Really, it gets no better than this.
  • Everyone isn't kidding about the Baby Jesus cake. It looks like nothing, tastes like everything. We think the secret is dates. ;)
  • Through October, this wine bar holds a pop-up farm stand selling local produce from LIC rooftop farm Brooklyn Grange, including spinach, basil, lettuce, rainbow Swiss chard, and herbs.
  • I go here 17 times a week for a reason. Astoria's best restaurant!!
  • Inspired by Italy and the local greenmarket, here, the emphasis is entirely on local: the produce comes from the Brooklyn Grange, and the walls are a gallery for local artists. Come for the wine tap.
  • Say yes to cavatappi!
  • Go to Vesta.. and order the Arancino risotto, veal, tomato & sheeps milk ricotta appetizer.. I died.
  • Amazing service!! Wine on tap is a treat. Baby Jesus cake is a must!!

  • Wonderful food. Friendly staff. Try the house wine blends for a delicious bargain.
  • The Rib-eye was amongst the best I've ever had. Truffle-potato pizza, slow braised meatballs & hangover pizza. Pretty much can't go wrong. They know how to do it right here.
  • Go to Vesta and make sure to get the Baby Jesus cake for dessert.
  • L'Italiano is absolutely amazing! Don't forget to order the Baby Jesus after, you'll definitely flip for it!
  • Currently my favorite spot in the neighborhood. Fantastic food, wine and service. Yum.
  • Place has a nice atmosphere. Our server was very accommodating and pleasant. I enjoyed their kale pizza and wine. Although their cabernet was pricy, i think my company enjoyed it nonetheless.
  • Romantic Italian place, good food, a hidden Astoria gem.
  • Wine, Ambiance, Service
  • Hangover Pizza. Forever and ever, amen.
  • Baby Jesus!
  • Excellent farm-to-table Italian fare and the perfect neighborhood restaurant in Astoria. The hangover pizza is great for brunch, but no matter when you come, save room for the Baby Jesus cake. Divine.
