Foursquare Tips

  • Short ribs on grilled polenta with goat cheese...epic.
  • Is it a utensil holder? Is it a water glass? Or is it just a mason jar? Who knows?
  • Love the biscuits and gravy
  • Southern food, burgers, chicken and waffles, fries, bacon jam, beer
  • Get the French toast. Wow. So yummy and huge
  • Must try item: southern chicken on waffles!
  • Try the pork belly with the waffle and some of their delicious ginger beer!
  • Omg. The ultimate, ultimate grilled cheese has jalapeo Mac n cheese and pulled pork within this crazy Sammie.
  • If you're looking for great diner ambience with wonderful, hearty, comfort food that's been raised up a couple of notches, come to the Skillet Diner in Ballard. Full bar, too! Check out these sprouts:
  • Swedish meatballs are good, and only available at the Ballard location!
  • Huge counter, a 10-top for group seating, handy spot before or after a movie at the Majestic Bay or a trip to the Ballard library!
  • Food was really good, particularly the scramble and the eggs your way, but they were busy dealing with a full window so the service was pretty slow.
  • Skillet has become a local favorite in Seattle. Think: creative twists on classic diner favorites like the Ultimate Grilled Cheese, served with bacon jam and a fried chicken thigh.
  • Everything is good and fresh. Service is top notch.
  • Caesar Salad dressing is good but a little overwhelming and salty. Ask for less or on the side. Rockfish is tasty on top.
  • Milkshake and brunch!
  • This was my second visit. I wasn't impressed the first time and I'm terribly disappointed this time. I had the BBQ Bahn Mi, it was a flavorless open face trainwreck. Avoid Skillet, there is better.
  • The Chub is my favorite! I recently tried the griddle cakes and they were delicious.
  • Had the 'Grown up Breakfast' and the 'Chub' was fantastic and the service was quick and friendly. Came with 3 of my friends and we sat at the bar
  • It's more of a fancier take on a regular American diner. They try to make new takes on American originals however not too successful. Their setting however is pretty inviting.
