Foursquare Tips

  • Popular & traditional Cuban cuisine! Be prepared its cash only, and the staff speaks mostly Spanish. As recommended by Travel Channel host, Anthony Bourdain.
  • Best Cuban sandwich in South Beach!
  • so busy here that it's rude. by the time I pay, my meal is cold and the staff can't handle the customers. The sound of people screaming over each other is crazy. Don't waste your money or your time.
  • Try the cafe con lech
  • Really good Cafe con Leche - really hot, really strong & really sweet - for $1.50. Small wonder there's a long line out the door and for the outdoor window each morning.
  • Awesome coffee. Definite locals spot. Great for any meal. Cuban sandwiches, meats, rice, beans, empanadas (chicken is best), fresh OJ and Watermelon Juice.
  • Great Cheap Eat, a classic of Miami Beach. Full Breakfast + 2 pastelitos + Natural Juice = $10.06. Breakfast includes eggs, fries, baguette and cafe con leche.
  • Chicken empanadas are the best in Miami Beach. Fresh sugar cane juice amazing!!
  • Delicious breakfast, great coffee but most of all, very friendly staff.
  • Great tostadas and even better coffee. The fried empanadas are passable - nothing better than anywhere else on the beach.
  • Tried getting one of the daily specials. Took multiple people to figure out they were out. Ordered something else and ended up with the wrong food. Maybe good for breakfast but I'm unimpressed.
  • The caf con leche is the best coffee in Miami, which is why its on our list of The Tastes That Make the City: Miami.
  • Cubano sandwich is fantastic. Watch them slather it with butter and throw it on the plancha. Longest 5 minutes of your life.
  • The cafe con leche and breakfast are crazy good!
  • Small deli-like place with 5 tables. No visible menu and the staff mostly speak Spanish. They don't take credit cards either. Thankfully, breakfast here is fantastic. Get the scrambled eggs with ham.
  • Amazing (and cheap) cubano sandwiches
  • cash only spot. gets busy. good stuff.
  • The empanadas, both carne & pollo, are amazing. The cafe con leche & cortadito's are some of the best coffee I've ever had.
  • Local-style informal Cuban restaurant with the best homemade dishes, made daily. The menu always changes, but the delicious flavors do not. Try the sugarcane juice.
  • The best empanadas ever !
