Foursquare Tips

  • Salmon sliders are incredible! Such an innovative and delicious menu - definitely a must try when you're in DC
  • What to get: The tangy potato-and-chickpea salad called papri chaat; salmon sliders on miniature pancakes; lemony tandoori mackerel; Malabar shrimp curry; tandoori chicken; orange-scented gulab jamun.
  • Everything is amazing. Simple as that.
  • Try the Veggie Oothappam
  • A fancy dancy place for Indian. More metrosexual Indian than real Indian.
  • The Chicken Biryani is simply divine! Served family style on a massive platter which is good, because you won't want to stop eating it!
  • The Cauliflower Chili Fry is something else! It's got the right amount of crispiness, packed with flavor, and some great heat from the chutney.
  • Bacon-lovers should order the unique and savory Pickled Pork Belly made with braised pork, mustard, fenugreek, coriander, cloves, & vinegar atop a coconut milk & fermented rice pancake.
  • The Achari Chicken Paratha Taco is a great fusion dish! Pickled chicken with fenugreek, mustard, red chili, & vinegar on layered whole wheat bread.
  • The House of Cardamom is one of their unique cocktails for whiskey-lovers: Bourbon, roasted cardamom, kokum bitters, & angostura bitters.
  • The Crispy delicious Samosa Chaat is a must! Served with yogurt, tamarind & cilantro chutneys. Try and see if you only order one!
  • The Chutney Sampler featuring tomato, ginger-tamarind, coriander-chili along assorted papad will get your meal off on the right foot with great flavors ranging from sweet & sour to spicy!
  • Very disappointing The daal was stale, and the paneer pasanda was flavorless. The quantity is so less compared to other Indian restaurants and overpriced. Sucha bad experience. Never going back.
  • Met with the co-owner K.N. Vinod and he gave us a tour of his new menu that he introduced two weeks ago... was pleasantly surprised, the morel stew and the Kerala Shepard's Pie were delightful!
  • More modern than traditional and small portions with long wait time
  • Shrimp biryani was amazing! One of the best I have had.
  • Salmon sliders and crab papad roll are a must
  • Waiting for take-out? Sit on the comfy benches and enjoy people-watching!
  • Loved the mini dosa, Indian tacos and deconstructed samosa.
  • Lamb vindaloo is satan's breath hot and out of this world!
