Foursquare Tips

  • Crusty bread, fresh olive oil, olives and glass of wine.
  • James Traub writes, "Franks serves serious food in a self-consciously non-serious setting, which is to say that is very Lower East Side." Take note: "Frank seems to have a gift for ravioli."
  • Rigatoni al Ragu is tops, especially with the great bread. Kept me smiling through my East Village years!
  • Burrata is a must.
  • eat/chill @ the bar on Sundays. dope bartender with dope music.
  • Go for brunch. No one does and its ace.
  • If your dinner party gets placed at the a huge communal wooden table right next to the bar, sit on the side facing the wall because you'll get trapped against the wall on the other side.
  • Try and sit down at the bar that is over the kitchen and watch the chefs cook all the food.
  • Get the burrata.
  • Try the buratta if you know what's good for you
  • NY strip and tagliatelle with mushroom was amazing!!!! Definitely coming back.
  • Have the gnocchi !
  • Ragu Ragu Ragu!!
  • Best meatball. Mussels are great too. Like an Italian grandma's house I bet with cool soul & hip hop. ;)
  • Burrata mozzarella will change your life!!
  • Buff mozzarella, gnocchi, molten choc cake. $32 bottle of Pinot Nero.
  • The black linguini with calamari is amazing!
  • Great kale Cesar salad
  • Black linguini frutti di mar is a must-order.
  • Tortellini pretty average. The squid-ink linguini looked better.
