Foursquare Tips

  • Gaze lovingly at their 77 tap-handle beer star while sampling 116 craft brews, like Arrogant Bastard, the Allagash Tripel, and the great seasonal Harpoon UFO Pumpkin, for the grown-up Charlie Brown.
  • Get a hard cider + a shot of Bison Grass vodka, pour the shot in the cider = apple pie. Prepare to have your mind blown.
  • FLANNEL LOVERS UNITE.
  • Don't bang on the tables while singing Adele. It's bound to get you kicked out.
  • Try the pork belly tacos!
  • Has nearly 50 styles of Bourbon to choose from. Add that to 36 drafts, 80 bottled beers & comfort food classics like tequila, chile, & beer marinated wings with lime, & this just might be Man Heaven.
  • One of my favorite restaurants! So vegan friendly, seasonal menu, currently: corn avacado chowder, banzo cakes, gumbo, grazing plate, vegan bomb pizza w/olives, zuccini, tofu, etc!!
  • Jalapeo mashed potatoes? Pumpkin ale?! See you at Five Horses Tavern! If you need more convincing, here's Katie's Favecast: http://www.favecast.com/47CdJnr8is
  • Split the pea diddy and get two tacos!
  • When their winter menu is out, you can't beat the Tavern Chili.
  • Some good vegan options including vegan pizza, onion and apple soup, and potato pizza!
  • A work in progress, with tons of potential- they serve goat butter with their bread, good thin-crust pizza, and serious salads. Great beer menu!!
  • This place should be called "Five Horses" because, oh yeah, that's what it's called :)
  • They don't offer flights, so choose your beer wisely.
  • Good food and beer selection
  • They DO NOT have soy milk for coffee. If you're a vegan who requires some, byo. Nice that there's a vegan brunch option, but pretty boring.
  • Fried chicken sammy with pepper jack cheese. Yes.
  • Love this place before the "Bro's" and "chicks" take it over. Tacos and the wings are a must!!
  • The Toro Furioso taco is delicious, but use caution when biting into the chilli peppers; those things are NO JOKE!
  • If you like seafood, try the lobster mac & cheese and the house mussels!
