Foursquare Tips

  • Etto's dough is made with freshly milled wheat, a touch of spelt and fermented fresh yeast. Of the six toppings available, my favorite: cauliflower, pine nuts, anchovies and garlicky bread crumbs.
  • Shut up and eat here.
  • Amazing all'etto, especially the mangalista ham. The roasted cauliflower pizza tastes delicious and flavorful. Totally recommend a visit!
  • They have a cocktail called "The Dick Whitman"-Green Hat spring/summer gin, homemade white vermouth and a twist. Might I put a request in for the Betty Hofstadt Draper Francis?
  • The big talent at tiny Etto in Logan Circle is Cagla Onal-Urel, a Turkish native whose Italian small plates underscore the idea that simple can be sublime.
  • Celery celery celery? Everything everything everything.
  • Chocolate Salami dessert. Do it.
  • The roasted cauliflower pizza is a perfect blend of earthy, salty and savory. Just order it.
  • The Roasted Cauliflower Pizza is delicious!
  • Burrata. Same as Two Amy's therefore delicious.
  • How long is the wait? Walk-ins can usually find seating in 20 minutes or less early in the week. Prepare to wait 60 to 90 minutes or longer during prime weekend hours.
  • Stellar salami, anchovies, and Neapolitan-style pizzas. Put your name down early!
  • I love this staff. They will talk to you about Mad Men. Hell, they have a Dick Whitman cocktail on the menu!
  • The Negroni: Campari is almost over-powered by the homemade vermouth and local Green Hat gin. This is a welcomed distinction. ORDER IT.
  • Small but surprisingly filling portions. Food is delicious
  • Babies love the Aperol spritz here. Start with the watercress salad (crispy anchovy bones-yum) and mini meatballs; for pizzas stay classic wth the margherita or go green with the sausage and friarelli
  • Pizzas were delicious. Three of us split two pizzas and we had plenty to eat.
  • A really well deserved "bravo" to the Turkish chef that mastered the art of Italian peasant food
  • Wasn't as impressed with the cauliflower pizza as others, but there is a lot on the menu that looks good. Really nice rustic Italian vibe.
  • This pizza is super legit, and their atmosphere is wonderful. Try to come on a weeknight when it's not as busy and easier to get a table!
