Foursquare Tips

  • The menu consists of smaller, tapas-style dishes and larger racciones, created by Landon Thompson, from the restaurant group's other outpost, the Iberian Pig.
  • The hulking chuletn (a bone-in rib-eye for two) does the traditional Spanish steak dish proud. Weighing in at 2.2 pounds, its slowly cooked on the restaurants impressive wood-fire grill.
  • It's usually busy, so get a reservation. There's definitely a Basque influence, but not a huge amount of traditional Basque choice. Still, the food and atmosphere is great.
  • Must get the veal cheek! The octopus is also very good. All the dishes were prepared and presented very well, but those two stood out.
  • Get the bikini and their version of pigs in a blanket. You will not regret it. I still dream about it every day!
  • Nice Vibe and atmosphere. All staff were very friendly from the time walked in until the time you walked out. Food is filling.
  • It's good, but Iberian Pig is better.
  • In the mood for something meaty? Then Cooks & Soldiers has got you covered! Order up one-kilo of bone-in rib eye to share or a plate of pork tenderloins for one.
  • With its roots in the cuisine of the Basque people, Cooks & Soldiers is an excellent place for tapas, veal and the local favorite fish grilled over hot coals.
  • Executive chef Landon Thompson was named as a James Beard Award semifinalist for his take on Basque cuisine, and Cooks & Soldiers was tabbed as Eater Atlanta's Restaurant of the Year for 2015.
  • Cooks & Soldiers is a one-of-a-kind restaurant bringing the taste of the Basque people into the heart of Westside Atlanta. Get reservationsyou don't want to miss the mouthwatering veal.
  • Cooks & Soldiers serves the unique Basque cuisine from the French and Spanish regions. The steak tartares are specially crafted to excite both your eyes and your taste palate.
  • Had a great time. A variety of tapas, lovely atmosphere. My favorites: the trout and the paella (pictured)!
  • Descent food. My wife and I have been to Spain and the food experience is close enough to the real thing. Extremely friendly staff. On the expensive side.
  • Drinks are craft level with a great take on Spanish Vasque style tapas!
  • This midtown restaurant offers a corner patio space that allows patrons to see (or be seen) while they sip and savor. Perfect for a group.
  • Great atmosphere for a special occasion.... And the food will not disappoint! Can't wait to come back :)
  • Favorite restaurant in Atlanta! You will not be disappointed!
  • Their brilliant riff on steak tartare replaces raw beef with chunky cured tomato, made possible by molecular gastronomy. A stunning carrot juice orb poses as egg yolk. You'll never miss the beef.
  • Great food and great service! The mushroom app was awesome!
