  • Chef Hugo Ortega's (of Hugo's and Backstreet Cafe) new restaurant in the Galleria is offering up Mexican Coastal Cuisine.
  • Caracol specializes in fresh, authentic Mexican seafood dishes. Turtle soup, mole de huitlacoche and a mallet-necessitating dessert have earned high praise from even the most discerning critics.
  • Great scallop ceviche and fish entrees. Loved the kick in the spicy Toque de Calor margarita.
  • The staff really know their stuff. One of the new bartenders described how they cook every part of the meal. We were asking bc it was very tasty!
  • HRW pork shank, mexican sweet potato puree, tropical mole with chiles, plantains, pineapple. Meat is really tender. The mole is a little different but all together I understand the flavor combo.
  • Oyster tacos are fantastic! Like Berryhill fish tacos but with Liberty Kitchen fried oysters.
  • All you can eat fresh raw oysters during the Sunday brunch for $35!
  • the CHOCOLATE CLAMS are worth every penny. $4 for each raw clam. Add some lime and you're good to go!
