Foursquare Tips

  • All that you could ask for in a bread bakery. Each loaf is given special care. The pan de mie are soft and slightly sweet. The walnut levain has a dense, malty crumb inlaid with chopped walnuts.
  • Croissants. Half the price of tartine and much better. Grab one and a coffee at Blue Bottle and sit outside and watch the tourists watching ferries.
  • Ride tram to Ferry Marketplace, head to Acme, buy 2 croissants, have friend get in line at Blue Bottle Coffee for 2 cappuccinos. Sit outside facing the bay...do this early/ 7am-Reader comment-NY times
  • Asparagus foccacia is a must, if you like either.
  • grab a loaf, go next door for a wheel of Mt. Tam cheese at Cowgirl Creamery, and find a secluded/scenic spot for a picnic ... one of my favorite meals/experiences in the city!
  • Try the seasonal focaccia.
  • For the true Acme experience, go to the original bakery in Berkeley at Cedar & San Pablo!
  • Toast a slice of their sweet loaf bread and slather on some creamy European style butter from the Farmer's Market here. Golden!
  • The pumpkin roll was amazing and somewhat healthy, too. Cute place.
  • cash only!
  • Rye raisin rabbit. Yes #awesome
  • Best way to spend less than a dollar. Go get a yummy, fresh roll. Olive or raisin for savory or sweet.
  • Disappointingly chewy croissant. No flake, not good :-(
  • We love the walnut bread! The cranberry-walnut is delicious too!
  • I call this place bread heaven ;) rustic sweet baguette, teeny roll, olive roll, and pain de mie!!! love love love them~
  • Get yourself a sourdough cheese wheel or 5.
  • The whole wheat levain is my favorite bread on the planet.
  • The pain epi is the perfect tear off and chomp bread for packing a picnic
  • Mmh. The walnut whole weat - they also have rolls \o/
  • The cheese and fresh fruit sandwich was my favorite of the three that day!
