Restaurant Critic Roundup: Hakkasan Performs Dismally

As always, the ratings range from stars to bells to beans, but every review offers specialized insight into the food, atmosphere, and service of eateries in each city's dining scene and the critics eating at them.

This week, New York's Hakkasan got ripped to shreds by both Bloomberg and New York Magazine. Receiving a mere .5 stars and 0 stars, respectively, the gourmet Chinese restaurant is not having a good week.

Typically, Pete Wells' review is the top story in The New York Times' Dining Section. However, this week, former Times critic Sam Sifton completely upstaged his colleague, breaking news about a secret restaurant in the back of Roberta's. When you can't even make a reservation at Blanca until August, who cares about two stars at Neta?

In Chicago, Phil Vettel found a restaurant worthy of three stars. In Providence, Cicero. In Seattle, the cozy and quaint Fat Hen was subject to review.

From the East Coast to the West Coast, North to South, the weekly restaurant critic roundup is here for all your dining out needs.
