A pumpkin cheesecake is the perfect dessert for any Thanksgiving evening, but serving a spiced pumpkin sage cheesecake-tini will really make an impression on your guests. This recipe is courtesy of Liz Green.

  • 1  Tablespoon  pumpkin pie mix
  • Pinch sage
  • Pinch pumpkin spice: nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger
  • 3  Ounces  half and half, nondairy soy milk or condensed milk
  • 2  Tablespoons  of maple syrup (or brown sugar)
  • 1  Ounce  alcohol (can be rum, brandy, or vodka)

Rim the glass with crushed graham cracker crust. Shake or blend all ingredients and pour into a martini glass or Bar Candy White Chocolate Glass. Top with whipped cream.

Spice Shopping Tip

Spices and dried herbs have a shelf life too, and lose potency over time. The rule of thumb is, if your spices are over two years old, it's time to buy some new ones.

Spice Cooking Tip

Toasting whole spices before using them intensifies their aroma and flavor.
