Ingredients
  • 20 ounce canned pineapple chunks, such as sweet harvest pineapple chunks
  • 8 pound smoked ham butt, such as appleton farms smoked ham butt
  • 1 cup pure maple syrup, such as selected 100% pure maple syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar, such as baker's corner brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
Directions
  1. Pour entire can of pineapple in bottom of large slow cooker. Place ham on top, flat side down.
  2. In a small bowl, combine syrup, brown sugar, cinnamon, mustard and pepper. Pour over ham.
  3. Set slow cooker to low and cook for 4-5 hours.
  4. Remove ham and keep warm. Skim fat off the top of remaining liquid in slow cooker.
  5. Pour liquid into small saucepan and bring to boil. Reduce heat to simmer, cook until reduced to desired consistency.
