Ingredients

The Irish Diplomat

  • 2  Ounces  whiskey, such as Bushmills Black Bush Irish Whiskey
  • 1/2  Ounce  Guinness reduction
  • 2  Dashes of Bittercube Cherry Bark Vanilla bitters
  • Ice
  • Orange peel

Guinness Reduction

  • 1 1/2  Cup  Guinness
  • 3/4  Cups  turbinado sugar

Directions

The Irish Diplomat

Add all ingredients to cocktail shaker with ice.

Stir 20 seconds until properly chilled.

Strain into an Old Fashioned glass over 1 large ice rock. 

Squeese orange oils from an orange peel into drink, place as garnish, and serve.

Guinness Reduction

Bring Guinness to a quick boil, turn down heat, and let simmer for 25-30 minutes or until Guinness has been reduced by half. 

Add equal parts turbinado sugar and stir until dissolved. Let cool before using.
