"One of the things that's so cool about cocktail culture these days in Austin," says Austin's Vino Vino mixologist Brian Elder, "is that people are now familiar with the cocktail canon. So they know the classics and are ready to go old school or contemporary." Fittingly, Vino Vino’s current cocktail list features seven classic cocktails with seven contemporary spinoffs. The Champs-Élysées features Landy VS, Green Chartruese, Angostura bitters, and lemon juice.

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 ounce landy cognac
  • 1/2 ounce green chartreuse
  • 3/4 ounce lemon juice
  • 1/4 ounce simple syrup
  • 2 angostura bitters
  • lemon peel, for garnish
Directions
  1. Shake all ingredients. Strain and serve up with lemon peel for garnish.
