Foursquare Tips

  • This jewel of a museum sports a 9,335-square-foot model of New York called the Panorama, making its choice art exhibitions icing on its curatorial cake.
  • Today, I was here to cut the ribbon on the Queens Museum of Art expansion.
  • The Queens Museum of Art presents a series of fine art exhibitions, performances and more. It also houses the Panorama of New York City - the world's largest architectural scale model of an urban area
  • Make the trek just for the New York City Panorama its absolutely worth it. Afterwards, take a stroll around the Unisphere and the Worlds Fair Pavilion.
  • This edifice is among the most storied landmarks that once housed the United Nations. It was constructed for the 1939 Worlds Fair and hosted exhibits for both that event and the one in 1964.
  • If you come with your friends to gawk at the NYC Panorama, bring a laser pointer so you can point out landmarks to each other.
  • Just went here for the first time. It is a treasure hidden in the park.
  • See the Panorama of the City of New York! Guaranteed one of the most awesome things you will ever see.
  • The three-dimensional map of New York, the Panorama, is a must-see attraction. It was constructed for the 1964 Worlds Fair and is regularly updated for viewing.
  • Extremly disappointed in lack of variety. This museum trip lasted all of 10 minutes. Was not worth the trip
  • DO NOT MISS the Panorama room. Full scale model of NYC is incredible
  • Free admissions for Bloomberg employee and 1 guest
  • Designed by Robert Moses, The Panorama of the City of New York is compulsory viewing for anyone living in the city: a 9,335 square foot model of the city's 320 square miles and 895,000 buildings.
  • The Panorama is a must-see. Its a 3-D map of all of New York City. Fun fact: Queens Museums building was once housed the General Assembly of the United Nations.
  • On 4/12/11, I was here to break ground on the Queens Museum of Art expansion. More details on the expansion are available here: http://bit.ly/HCb0Y5

  • Passport Fridays one of the best events in town! Don't miss it
  • Ditto what others say: the Panorama is a must see. I love how artists regularly interact w/ the model of NYC to give it new meanings. And I appreciate QMA's commitment to immigrant, POC, LGBT artists.
  • Maybe my favorite museum in New York.
  • Panorama is a must see. Wonderful resource. Great location (and cool t-shirts in gift store).
