Picnicking in New York City with European Flair

New York Central Restaurant is offering European-style picnic baskets

Want to feel like you’re picnicking in a Parisian garden or in the middle of Rome? Well, executive chef Christian Ragano of New York Central Restaurant has created a selection of themed picnic baskets inspired by Paris, Madrid, and Rome so you can visit Europe through without ever leaving The Big Apple.

Chef Ragano carefully designed each basket so that it is reminiscent of the city it is named for. Each basket offers a variety of dishes and flavors, such as the Madrid basket, which includes chorizo, piquillo peppers, garlic aioli, arugula, and garrotxa cheese on crusty bread. The basket from Paris offers ham, Brie, and a haricot vert salad. The meal will be carefully wrapped in a beautiful bento box for an effortless lunch in the park

Each basket can serve two people and prices range from $45 to $55. To get a basket of your own you must call and pre-order. Then, take your basket to the park and let it transport you to Europe while picnicking in Central Park.
