Foursquare Tips

  • Get the Dinosaur Sized Ribs -- mesquite-grilled to a smoky perfection and slathered in their secret BBQ sauce. -Adam Richman, Man v Food Nation.
  • Ribs!!! That's all you need to know! There may have been sides, but I blacked out after about the 4th rib and don't remember much else - sensory overload!
  • Beefy ribs & chick less - macaroni salad -onion rings
  • It's Phil's, get the ribs!
  • Highly Overrated
  • Barbecue broham!
  • Best bbq in north county
  • get the broham!!!
  • This new restaurant seats 250 people and will serve around 1,500 people per day! That's a lot of handi wipes!
  • Food blogger Susan of Food Blogga recommends Phil's BBQ. "Whether you get the big beef ribs or the petite pork ribs, the meat is delectably charred on the outside and impossibly tender on the inside."
  • They're known for their ribs, but you should definitely try their "Broham" pulled pork sandwich, too Ask for extra BBQ sauce!
  • My fav is the full rib dinner with fries and beans! My perfect saturday!
  • Get the broham or the el toro depending if you like pulled pork or tri tip.
  • Best in San Diego. Try the Try-Tip sandwich (the El Toro), skip the fries and do the macoroni. Have a beer in the bar - great selection and suuuuuuuper cold. BBQ heaven in a county of BBQ shame.
  • Everyone knows the ribs are great but don't miss the caeser salad, bbq cheeseburger and huge onion rings!
  • The plates are so huge, my whole family can share one.
  • BBQ pork sandwich was not the best i ever had but still ok. Fries with creole salt was awesome! Slaw was yummy to but not fond of the BBQ sauce-to sweet!
  • Closed on Mondays :-/
  • Possibly the best fries anywhere. Of course the baby back ribs are unreal.
  • Onion Rings are BOMB!
