Foursquare Tips

  • What else can you say about Isaiah Zagar? He's a magic (gardens) man. The fun, funky Magic Gardens includes a fully mosaiced indoor gallery & a massive outdoor labyrinthine mosaic sculpture.
  • It may only be a 3,000-square-foot plot of urban land, but there's a lot to see. Reclaimed trash mosaics, mirror and tiles make this one hidden gem.
  • Make sure you climb every staircase, walk every path, explore every nook, and go to the bathroom. Quite the whimsical display of art.
  • Great place to enjoy a lunch while admiring great mosaic art!
  • Truly unique spot. Great for photo ops.
  • One of the best places I've ever been. Highly recommended!
  • All jokes aside the Gardens do a great job summing up a lot of the culture in Philly. Some things in that garden that are literally unbelievable. As in I can't find words to describe it on here.
  • Be sure to have your camera ready. Everything, including the washrooms are decorated. When finished, cruise South street to see more of his work being adorned on storefronts.
  • The artist really took his thoughts and displayed them so that everyone could admire them, I hope he realizes that his masterpiece has come to live and that with each visit something new is discovered
  • Seems like the perfect place for a game of I Spy.
  • Great site to visit on south street!!
  • Try to catch one of the short presentations (or at least talk to a guide). Knowing a bit about the artist's story gave me a whole new appreciation and understanding of the art.
  • Eclectic glass, haphazard paths, and ornate mosaics. One can do worse in an afternoon...
  • Awesome place to spend an afternoon. Bring a camera! Great place to bring a date and walk around!
  • Tour the Magic Gardens, a stunning collection of mosaic art by local artist Isaiah Zagar.
  • I'm so Happy
  • Explore Isiah Zagar's magical art space that seems to transform every time we visit. Admission is just a fiver, but you can support this local treasure by joining as an annual member, for just $25.
  • If you don't check out the beautiful murals here, then you are missing a hidden gem in Philadelphia.
  • Make sure you take the time to really explore this place. There are so many great little details, look at everything and take lots of pictures.
  • I loved this place, it's like nowhere I've ever been. So many painfully photogenic nooks and crannies to discover. Find his other works scattered around the south Philly neighbourhood.
