Phantom Gourmet: Dine Around The Globe At Passport In Weymouth

IPSWICH (CBS) — Imagine a restaurant where you can dine your way around the world, and you don't even need a Passport. Well, that's exactly the experience you'll get at Passport in Weymouth.

At Passport, the dining room is decorated with globes, the host stand is made from vintage suitcases, and the menu takes a world view when it comes to food.

According to owner Neil Kiley, there are dishes from almost every corner of the Earth.

"We try to hit something from every continent, something from every type of cuisine, be it Asian, Eastern European, Italian. We hit French, we hit African, we hit everywhere," explained Kiley.

And since there's so much on the menu you'll want to try, Executive Chef Thomas Coleman thought that serving small plates would be the best way for customers to experience as many different flavors as possible.

"This gives people so many options. You can sit down and literally take a culinary tour around the world if you'd like," said Coleman.

"It's a very social thing to be eating. And to have a huge plate of food in front of you isn't always the way people want to go."

The international eats are almost endless.

"They're trying five or six different items on the menu and then they're already looking at that menu and saying, I already know the six of seven things I want to try when I come back. It's a wonderful experience for people as far as being able to try so many different items," said Kiley.
