Paula Deen Decidedly Not Joining 'Dancing With The Stars'

We knew this would happen, but now it's confirmed; Us Weekly reports that Paula Deen has turned down an offer to participate in an upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars.

Deen, 66, lost plenty of partnerships after her videotaped deposition leaked (where she admitted to using the n-word), and rumor had it that DWTS extended an offer for her to join their cast and revamp her image.

Unfortunately, Deen declined. "The dance floor is not the appropriate forum for her," a "Deen source" told Us Weekly.

Of course, DWTS isn't giving up hope; co-host Tom Bergeron told Us Weekly, "We've seen career resurgences after the show. People go, 'I remember why I love that person!'" Deen's strategy, it seems, is just to lay low and let her sons do the talking. She could, also, join the cast of Celebrity Apprentice, another show that helps reinvent stars in the public eye. We assume the porn offer is definitely off the table.
