The Partnership At Drugfree.org To Host All-Star Tasting Event June 26

The Partnership at Drugfree.org has been on a mission to promote a life free of alcohol and drug abuse to children and adolescents, and on June 26 they'll be throwing a fundraiser to celebrate the critical work that the organization does.

The event will be held at New York's Astor Center, and will begin at 7 p.m. Top Chef's Ed Cotton will be on hand, as will renowned pastry chef Johnny Iuzzini, a James Beard Foundation Award-winner named one of the "10 Most Influential Pastry Chefs in America" by Forbes. Also cooking for the event will be chef Brad Farmerie of Saxon + Parole, Pig & Prince's Mike Carrino, Les Halles executive chef Carlos Llaguno, Sons of Essex's Roger Llanes, and pastry chef Thiago Silva. Several former sports stars will also be in attendance, including the Yankees' Ron Blomberg, the Nets' Darryl Dawkins, the Knicks' John Wallace, and soccer star Jozy Altidore.

The proceeds from the event will all go toward The Partnership at Drugfree.org, certainly a worthy cause. Individual tickets cost $200,""VIP All-Star Tasting" tickets cost $300, and a package of four tickets to the main event costs $750. They can be purchased here.
