  • The Paramount Theater Oakland is really accessible by transit - it's one block from the 19th St. Oakland BART Station.
  • Every seat is a great seat.
  • Bring your drinks to the your seats.
  • Martin Lawrence was hilarious!

  • They sure don't make theaters like this anymore!
  • A beautiful restored art deco theater with a Wurlitzer" pipe organ. A must do!
  • A guy playing an organ rises from the floor. And prizes.
  • The outside of the buikding is unimpressive but wait until you get inside!

  • A beautiful old theater. Be warned that movies generally start ~40 minutes late due to the spinner game they do before hand.

  • Art deco carried to its necessary extreme. Financed by Paramount Pictures, the Paramount Theatre was the largest West Coast movie palace at the time of its construction in 1931.
  • Dont bring your own popcorn. Alll the candy and booze you can smuggle in but no popcorn
