Palio d'Asti Restaurant Celebrates Famous Siena Horse Race

Palio d'Asti in San Francisco won't be horsing around on Tuesday and Wednesday July 2 & 3 , when they offer up a Tuscan inspired 5-course feast in honor of Il Palio Siena, an annual historic horse race that is quintessentially Italian. Seatings for the Palio Siena meal are available from 5-9pm. Price is $65 per person.

"The menu will be strong on summertime favorite ingredients that are coming in early this year," comments owner Martino DiGrande. "Bruchetta with Heirloom Tomatoes and Roasted Garlic; Corn Rigatoni with Sautéed Zucchini and Basil; Florentine Style Steak with Sautéed Spinach are the savory specials. Plus you can finish off your wine with a plate of 'Smuggled' Unpasteurized Cheese and enjoy a sweet ending of Almond Granita with Grilled Peaches. All are made with organic and sustainable ingredients from local family farms."

Voted a "2012 Diners Choice" favorite by Open Table users and among the Top 3 "Best Bay Area Italian" in a recent SFGate.com readers' poll, diners at Palio enjoy a full range of bar cocktails, a Wine Spectator award winning wine list and Michelin rated comfortable dining with white tablecloth service; along with authentic, regional Italian fare.
