The Oak Table To Open In Columbia, SC

The Indigo Road Restaurant Group is opening the highly-anticipated Oak Table in downtown Columbia, SC later this month. Inspired by sister restaurants Oak Steakhouse and The Macintosh, The Oak Table will offer "modern American cuisine for progressive palates." Bright, fresh flavors are the name of the game, proudly displayed through a seasonally driven menu.

But don't worry – there will still be some familiar faces at The [Oak] Table. Fans of the whole fried lobster at Oak Steakhouse will still get their fill of the restaurant's signature dish, served with potato mash and a citrus beurre blanc, as well as the award-winning Mac burger from The Macintosh, served with their renowned Pecorino truffle frites.

Also coming to The Oak Table from Oak Steakhouse is executive chef Joseph Jacobson, a native Charlestonian. He says, "my background allows me to not only know my product and where it comes from, but to also know the farmers and fishermen on a personal level. This connection transforms my dealings from a job, to a way of life with an emphasis on community."

We look forward to seeing great things come from chef Jacobson and The Oak Table!
