“Our founder Charley Watkins was a marine veteran himself and over the years we have been able to support and honor our veterans through a variety of programs,” said O’Charley’s President Ned Lidvall. “This is our way to continue his legacy by honoring the men and women who serve our country.”

Lidvall will accept the Department of Defense Support of the Guard and Reserve award on Wednesday, November 4 for the company’s efforts over the last several years that have supported veterans.

O’Charley’s will continue honoring local heroes and providing full reimages of the classic, casual dining experience the Nashville-based restaurant chain has been serving the American dining public since 1971. The comprehensive O’Charley’s revitalization plan was orchestrated by new leadership at American Blue Ribbon Holdings, who acquired the restaurant chain in May of 2012.
