Nolet's Old Fashioned Cocktail

Everybody needs a strong drink now and then (or every day) – and that's when an Old Fashioned comes in handy. It's a simple cocktail whose origins date back to the 19th century – all you need is some spirits, bitters and a twist of citrus. It's most commonly made with bourbon or whiskey, but it has historically been made with everything from rum to gin.

In the video above John McCarthy takes us on the gin route, making a cocktail that feels a bit lighter than your typical bourbon old fashioned and has a honey syrup twist.  It also uses orange bitters to really bring out a bit of citrus in the drink to pair with the Nolets Gin. Watch the video to see the full cocktail, or follow the recipe below!

NOLET'S Old Fashioned
2 oz. NOLET'S Silver Dry Gin
.25 oz. Honey Syrup
3 Dashes Orange Bitters

Stir and strain over ice, garnish with orange twist.
