The World's Tallest Grilled Cheese Tower Is Being Assembled This Weekend

What could be better than a perfectly crispy on the outside, and gooey on the inside grilled cheese sandwich? How about a stack of irresistibly cheesy grilled cheese sandwiches stacked 25 feet high?

Cheese enthusiasts at Oozefest, Southern California's largest cheese festival located in Santa Ana, brought to you by food blog Foodbeast, will be attempting to break the world record of the tallest stack of grilled cheese sandwiches this weekend.

On Saturday October 10, during the first session, Foodbeast says that they will attempt to "either set the world record, or kill ourselves in an avalanche of grilled cheese sandwiches."

"The biggest obstacle is stability," Geoff Kutnick, co-founder of Foodbeast told Los Angeles Magazine. "We need to a six-foot-tall base that's wider and able to support the pole that we'll be stacking the grilled cheeses on."

Nguyen Tran from Starry Kitchen, the "underground" restaurant in Los Angeles, and Button Mash, a new arcade bar in Los Angeles, will be hosting the event which will take place all day Saturday with a $50 admission fee, or $75 if you want to skip the lines and get early admission.
