World's First 3D Printing Restaurant Is Coming To London

There's 3D printed gummy candy and machines that 3D print pancake art, and now a 3D printing restaurant is making its way around the world.

Food Ink, the world's first 3D printing restaurant, will make its world premiere in London July 25–27. The concept was conceived and executed by an international team of "architects, artists, chefs, designers, engineers, futurists, industrials, inventors, and technologists," according to the restaurant's site.

The food, eating utensils, and furniture are made entirely from 3D printing.

The Food Ink pop-up, which will be located at 8 Dray Walk in Shoreditch, will be open to the public from 2 to 7 p.m. Guests will have the opportunity to sample some 3D printed snacks, sit on 3D printed furniture, and explore the space, which is described as a "futuristic environment."

Food Ink will also be hosting an exclusive dinners each night of the pop-up from 8 to 10 p.m., with only 10 seats available at each dinner. The nine-course dinner will be livestreamed for those unable to attend. Reservations can be made by emailing info@foodink.io.

Other pop-ups are coming to Berlin, Dubai, Seoul, Rome, Tel Aviv, Barcelona, Paris, Amsterdam, Toronto, NYC, Taipei, Las Vegas, Sao Paulo, Tokyo, Austin, Singapore, Los Angeles, Cape Town, Sydney, and Reykjavik.
