Here's An Exclusive Clip From Season 8 Of 'Bizarre Foods With Andrew Zimmern,' Premiering May 4

In the new season of Bizarre Foods, Andrew Zimmern travels from the Amazon to the mountains of Central Asia — visiting the floating jungle markets of Peru, rice fields of Vietnam, and the deserts of Dubai.

In this exclusive clip from the Travel Channel, Zimmern explores a spice market in Dubai and samples some of the local delicacies, from beetle cocoons believed by some to have sustained the Israelites during their 40 years in the wilderness to black buttermilk curd that looks like a chocolate bar, yet "smells like an old folks' home."

In the United Arab Emirates, Zimmern learns how to properly milk a camel, ferment fish in the desert sun, and make "musical organ meat mush," whatever that means.

Season eight of Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern premieres Monday, May 4 at 9 p.m. The clip below is from episode four, "Dubai: Carp, Camel and Cocoons."
